What is Panoptec?
Panoptec is the company bringing G&D and VuWall together. The goal is to unite complementary technologies and teams behind one broader platform for mission-critical visualization and control. You will continue to work with G&D and VuWall products, teams, websites and support channels during the transition.
Why are G&D and VuWall becoming one company?
Control rooms and mission-critical environments increasingly require video wall management, AV-over-IP distribution, KVM control and secure access to work together more seamlessly. Bringing G&D and VuWall together gives customers a broader technology ecosystem, fewer vendor relationships to manage, and a stronger foundation for future integrated solutions.
Is one company taking over the other?
No. G&D and VuWall were already part of the same group. This step brings the businesses together under Panoptec while preserving the products, people, expertise and customer relationships that exist today.
Is this about cutting costs? Will offices or teams close?
No. This is about building a broader technology company, not reducing customer support or eliminating the teams customers rely on. There are no planned changes to customer-facing teams, locations, contacts or support relationships as part of this announcement.
Does anything change for me right now?
No. You can continue working with your usual G&D or VuWall contacts, ordering through the same process, using the same support channels, and relying on the same products and warranties.
Will my contract, framework agreement or pricing change?
Your existing agreements and order processes remain in place for now. As the integration progresses, certain terms — including payment terms and pricing — will be updated. Your usual contact will inform you personally and in good time before any change takes effect.
Will my contacts or support team change?
No. The people who know your projects remain in place. Maintaining continuity for customers and partners is a key priority throughout the transition.
Will the products I use be renamed?
No. Product names such as ControlCenter, VisionXS, TRx, PAK, ControlVu and other G&D and VuWall solutions remain in use. There is no blanket product renaming as part of this transition.
Will support, warranty or product roadmaps be affected?
No. Existing warranties remain valid, and the same specialists continue supporting the products they know. Over time, having both product portfolios planned under one company should make it easier to deliver integrated solutions and more coordinated roadmaps.
Will I see a different company name on quotes, invoices or contracts?
Eventually, yes — but only as an administrative/legal update. Once the legal entity change takes effect in your region, invoices, quotes or contracts may show the new Panoptec legal entity name. The products, pricing, contacts, support and ordering process remain unchanged.
Are the G&D and VuWall names going away?
No. G&D and VuWall remain trusted market-facing brands during the transition. You will continue to see, buy and refer to G&D and VuWall products. Over time, you may also see endorsement language such as “G&D, a Panoptec company” and “VuWall, a Panoptec company.” The brand “Panoptec” will be introduced publicly to the market closer to the summer of 2027 as the Corporate Master Brand as which time, the we will adopt an endorsed-brand model to continue using G&D and VuWall.
What happens to gdsys.com and vuwall.com?
Both websites stay online. A Panoptec website will be introduced as the corporate home for the group, alongside the websites customers and partners use today. Eventually, close to the summer of 2027, the panoptec.com website will be launched where the content from the G&D and VuWall website will be merged and visitors will be redirected to the new site.
Which name should I use when referring to you?
Use G&D or VuWall as you do today. If you need to reference the wider company in a tender, supplier record or corporate context, use “G&D, a Panoptec company” or “VuWall, a Panoptec company,” unless your contact provides specific legal entity wording for your region.
What is changing, and when?
The first changes are legal entity name changes. In Europe, Guntermann & Drunck GmbH and VuWall Technology Europe GmbH are expected to become Panoptec Europe GmbH on September 1, 2026. In North America, VuWall Technology Inc. and VuWall USA Inc. are expected to become Panoptec Canada Inc. and Panoptec USA Inc. by December 31, 2026. The public brand rollout will happen gradually through 2027.
When will the transition be finished?
The legal steps happen by region on the dates above. The visible brand transition will be gradual, with G&D and VuWall remaining present throughout the process. We will share additional information as plans are finalized.
What are you ultimately trying to build?
Our ambition is to create the platform customers trust most for mission-critical visualization and control — helping operators securely access and visualize the right information at the right time, improve situational awareness, make informed decisions, and respond faster with confidence. Bringing G&D and VuWall together is a major step toward that goal.
Who can I speak to if I have other questions?
Please contact your usual G&D or VuWall representative. They can answer most questions directly and will bring in the appropriate Panoptec contact if needed.
