The matrix-compatible KVM-over-IP extenders of the VisionXS-IP-DP-UHR series

extend keyboard, video, and mouse signals, as well as other peripheral data (e.g., audio and USB), via a standardized IP network infrastructure with CAT or fiber connection (up to 10,000 m). An extender system consists of a computer module (CPU) and a compatible console module (CON). Computers can be controlled in near real-time – both in extender and matrix applications. The VisionXS-IP-DP-UHR series supports DisplayPort1.2 for ultra-high-resolution video up to 4096 × 2160 (60 Hz) or 5120 × 2160 (50 Hz). Video data is processed pixel-perfectly and offers excellent hand-eye coordination, thanks to bluedec™ – G&D's advanced, multi-stage, lossless compression technology.

Security features

secure and trouble-free operation through pairing and encryption with AES-256 or AES-128 (cannot be manipulated)

Screen-Freeze: If the console module loses the video signal due to a broken connection or a problem with the computer's graphics card, the Screen-Freeze function "freezes" the last displayed image of the monitor. This state is highlighted by a red semi-transparent frame. The function is automatically canceled when an active video signal exists again.

With the Monitoring function, you can auto-output device status messages to Syslog servers or SNMP. The web interface lets you monitor the device manually.

The 2-factor authentication (2FA) is included as standard with KVM extenders and provides a higher level of security by ensuring that only authorized users have access to the system.This involves the use of a Time-Based-One-Time-Password (TOTP) which is a password valid for a limited time and can be applied only once. Authenticator apps or hardware tokens can be used. Likewise, you can freely select whether you want to employ the internal authentication server provided in the device or an external directory service.

Operation features

Due to predefined IP addresses, plug & play is supported for the modules. Therefore it couldn’t be easier to use existing network infrastructures to put the modules into operation in a 1:1 connection.

With the integrated IP-MUX functionality the console modules offer the possibility to access different computer modules (one after the other). To use this function, you can connect a maximum of 20 computers to separate computer modules. The computer modules are configurated as targets in the console module and can be connected via the local on-screen display.

No additional hardware is required to use transmission redundancy. Instead, the devices (console and computer modules) are already prepared for this. The function can be activated, even later, via a software feature key. Additional redundancy modules (SFP transceiver fiber) are available for the fiber variants.

Select the appropriate KVM-over-IP extender system from our product portfolio. The modules of this product family are compatible with each other thus providing you with virtually limitless technical possibilities.
However, data transmission with KVM-over-IP technology is not compatible with classic KVM extenders from G&D.
