With no video path there is no resolution limit, no signal conversion and no gap in the picture when switching: each monitor shows its computer continuously. What gets switched is the control only.

It also makes these switches independent of your computers' video interface — DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI or anything else makes no difference here.

The fastest way to change computers is the mouse itself: move the pointer beyond the edge of one monitor, and control passes to the computer belonging to the adjacent monitor. For the operator, the result feels like a single workplace spanning all screens — no hotkey, no glance at a control panel.

Alternatively, you switch via a configurable key combination.

All computers see the keyboard and mouse continuously, even while they are not being operated. Nothing has to be re-detected when switching — control is available immediately, and none of the computers reports a missing input device.

Two, four or eight computers at one workplace. Eight is the highest number of computers in the entire switch portfolio — possible because no video signal is carried.

Analogue stereo audio is switched along: the sound follows the computer you are currently operating.

• How does the picture reach the workplace?
  Directly. Each computer stays connected to its own monitor; the switch plays no part in the video path.
• How do I switch between computers?
  Via CrossDisplay switching, by moving the mouse across the monitor boundary, or via a configurable key combination.
• Does my computers' video interface matter?
  No. With no video path, the interface is irrelevant to the switch.
• But I do need video switching. What then?
  Then the DisplayPort or DVI switches are the right route. There, the video signal runs through the switch uncompressed, and one monitor shows different computers in turn.
