- Easy operation of matrix systems
Digital KVM matrix systems offer the possibility to access a variety of computers from distributed workplaces. As such installations can become very complex and lead to a truly powerful yet multi-layered infrastructure due to the numerous features included, intuitive operating concepts are essential. This is where scenario switching comes into play. With scenario switching, the switching state of a workplace/multiple workplaces, or the entire system can be saved. The switching states are stored in a script within the matrix system and can be called and executed via the OSD of authorized workplaces.
Whether for an emergency scenario at a control room workplace or for a “simple,” less critical application switch: local scenarios are used when a changed computer configuration is necessary at a single workplace. Scenario switching is helpful wherever multiple switching states need to be changed simultaneously. This is especially useful for multi-monitor consoles that access several computers at once, where manually and sequentially selecting a computer source for each individual monitor would be cumbersome and time-consuming. The scenario feature allows for the saving of switching states – confined to the local console – and makes these easily available for future use.

The best way to talk about complex topics is in person. Via chat, e-mail, phone or in a personal demo remote or on-site.
