FreeSeating - your working environment at any workplace

Illustration FreeSeating

FreeSeating lets users log in at any workplace and find their familiar working environment there, including the sources last connected. The function is part of the TradeSwitch-Function and is available in KVM matrix systems.

How it works

In a TradeSwitch environment, the console modules of a workplace are combined into a group. Without FreeSeating, the user logs in at each module individually, and the configuration is tied to that particular workplace.

With FreeSeating, the user picks any workplace and enters their credentials once. All console modules at that workplace are then logged in and the sources last used are connected automatically. In the same way, a single logout ends the session across the entire group.

Requirements

  • TradeSwitch-Function (TS-Function)
  • KVM matrix system

Benefits in operation

  • Free choice of workplace without setting it up again
  • One login instead of one per console module
  • The sources last used are immediately available again
  • Shorter setup time at shift changeover
  • A single logout ends the session at the whole workplace
