The Push-Get-Function supports collaboration in the control room. A user can push the switch state of their console module or DWC channel to another console module or DWC channel, or get it from there.
What is transferred is not the video image but the switch state. After a push, the source the user had connected is available at the target module. A get does the reverse and brings another module's source to the user's own workplace. The function is called up via the OSD.
The difference from screen-sharing software matters in practice: no second, compressed video path is created. The target module receives the image directly through the matrix system, just as with any other connection – at the usual quality and without the delay of an additional encoding step.
An operator encounters a situation a colleague should assess and pushes the relevant source to that colleague's workplace or to the video wall. Conversely, a get brings a colleague's source to the operator's own workplace so the two can examine it together.
The best way to talk about complex topics is in person. Via chat, e-mail, phone or in a personal demo remote or on-site.
