Scenario switching stores the switch state of a workplace, of several workplaces or of the entire system. The stored state is held as a script in the matrix system and can be called up and executed via the OSD at authorized workplaces.

What it is for

At multi-monitor workplaces that access several computers at once, switching each monitor manually is cumbersome and slow. Scenario switching replaces that sequence of individual steps with a single call.

Local scenarios apply to one workplace and are used when a different computer constellation is needed there - from a simple change of application to an emergency scenario at a control room position. System-wide scenarios change the switch state of several workplaces or of the entire installation in one step.

Distinction from the IP-Control-API

Scenarios are stored as a script in the matrix system and called up via the OSD. Creating, managing and executing scripts programmatically is part of the scripting function and requires the IP-Control-API.
